One chapter ends. A new one begins.
It’s an exciting opportunity and I’m confident I’ll be able to supply my subscribers here with the same inside information, analysis and perspective you had come to expect from me in my years covering IU for The Star.
All I ask is that you give us a shot. If you’re not a subscriber at this point, click on the subscription info on our home page and sign up for a plan. You won’t be disappointed. Scout.com has an incredible stable of national football and basketball writers that blows the competition away.
One thing I learned in all my years on the beat is that there’s plenty of competition in the IU market when it comes to recruiting and beat coverage. Competition is a good thing and when faced with it reporters who already have a strong work ethic just work that much harder. That’s what you can expect from my Indiana Scout team.
I’ll continue in my role as the beat writer, covering the team and providing insights and analysis. Over the next few days we’ll be adding another full-time person focusing specifically on the recruiting side. We’ll cross over into each other’s areas to simply enhance the level of coverage you have come to expect.
In addition we will have a few other correspondents who will add to the coverage package. Joe Popely, a senior at IU will be a strong addition to that depth. We will also bring on others.
The goal is to blanket you with comprehensive Indiana football and basketball coverage in particular but also keep an eye on other sports within the IU brand.
Beginning Wednesday we’ll be hitting the ground running with complete coverage from Big Ten Football Media Days in Chicago.
All that we ask is that you become a subscriber, check out our product, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
