After A 9-1 regular season, Keshawn Vaughn finished with 2,036 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground.
He is averaging over 11 yards per carry in 2013.
Oh year, he is just a junior.
Vaughn is a 5-foot-10, 210 pound back that claims 4.5 second speed in the 40 yard dash.
"I can run with vision, speed, and power," Vaughn said.
With that size and speed combination and those numbers he is putting up this season, you have to think scholarship offers are on the way, right?
"I hope to have offers soon. I think about that first one coming soon. I think schools are close and I am hearing from a lot of different schools, so I am ready. I think the offers will start coming soon."
His head coach agrees.
"This kid can get it done on the football field," said Tony Brunetti. "He has great film, he has really improved since last season, and he is going to get his offers.
"Schools from all over are calling me about him and I see schools offering soon. I am surprised a few schools haven't already offered him to be honest."
Arkansas, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Tennessee, UCLA, and Vanderbilt are some of the schools showing interest in Vaughn right now.
One of those schools has really impressed the junior out of Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn.
"I have visited Vanderbilt and I liked it there a lot. I like how close it, they are big on education, and I like the coaches," said Vaughn.
Tennessee also stood out when he camped there over the summer. Their facilities jumped out. Oregon is the school he has always liked because of their offense and the tempo they play at.
The first school that offers him though will immediately move up his list though. He is waiting patiently for that, at least he is trying to.
"I want that offer," said Vaughn with a smile. "I am working for it and I know it will come, but I want to know a school believes in me."
