Indiana freshman big man Luke Fischer, who withdrew from Indiana after the first semester and decided to transfer, said on Twitter Wednesday night that he would not transfer to another Big Ten school.
That eliminates Wisconsin, Fischer's state school that was part of his recruitment originally.
"My family and I will be looking at all the options available to me and making a decision on my future plans." Fischer tweeted. "Out of respect for coach Crean and Indiana University I will not be considering any big 10 schools during this process."
Fischer could transfer to another Big Ten school, but he would have to pay his own way and lose a year of eligibility. Even if he didn't want to respect Indiana, it wouldn't make a ton of since for anyone to transfer within the conference.
Marquette seems like a feasible option for Fischer at this point, but that's just throwing out a guess on my part. We should find out fairly soon where Fischer will go because he will likely enroll before the start of the spring semester.
