Hoosier Links: Jan. 20, 2014

In today's Hoosier Links there are two stories on IU men's basketball and two others on growing reports that Indiana is close to hiring a defensive coordinator to replace Doug Mallory.

1. It still isn't official but reports were floating around Sunday afternoon and evening that Brian Knorr was close to accepting the position of defensive coordinator at Indiana. Evan Hoopfer of the Indiana Daily Student filed this report Sunday evening. Reports: IU hires new defensive lead

2. Pete DiPrimio of the Fort Wayne News Sentinel had this story about Knorr emerging as the leading candidate and also about IU's three commits in football over the weekend. Knorr emerges as IU's defensive coordinator favorite

3. Hoopfer also had a column on Indiana basketball and its inconsistency. The inconsistency continues

4. And one more story from Saturday, Tony Krausz of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette had this notebook after the IU-Northwestern game. Hoosiers can't handle success
