Ex-Hoosier White signs with Bobcats

Former Indiana standout D.J. White has signed at 10-day contract in Charlotte.

Former Indiana standout D.J. White has officially signed a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Bobcats.

White will wear No. 8. He'll of course join a roster that also includes another former Hoosier, rookie Cody Zeller. That should be fun for both parties.

White, a former Big Ten Player of the Year, had been playing with the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association. He averaged 20.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 27 games for the Blue Whales this season.

He has averaged 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in his six-year NBA career. He has played in 132 career games.

Needless to say, but good for D.J.
