All three Indiana recruits were in action on Friday night, and all three had pretty solid nights.
James Blackmon Jr., the headliner of the 2014 class, was the most impressive. Blackmon Jr. scored 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting at the Jordan Brand Classic in Brooklyn, his best showing to date in the offseason games.
The Jordan game is arguably the best for high school seniors, and Blackmon Jr. certainly shined. He's known for his 3-point game, but he showed off much more than that on Friday night. Blackmon Jr. made pull-up jumpers, got to his floater, and also found his open teammates on cuts.
It's a good sign he was able to get so much accomplished against the best of competition.
Robert Johnson and Max Hoetzel, Indiana's other two 2014 signees, were in action in the Derby Festival Classic in Louisville. Both finished with 10 points, Hoetzel on 3-of-3 shooting and Johnson on 4-of-13. Hoetzel won the event's 3-point shootout, and Johnson finished second.
All in all, it was a solid night for Indiana's 2014 class.
