Indiana a contender for USC transfer Wesley

USC transfer Byron Wesley

The Hoosiers are interested in USC transfer Byron Wesley, a guard who can really score.

Indiana coach Tom Crean has been busy lately, and much of his work has been done in California.

Crean was in California on Friday and Saturday to visit 2016 forward T.J. Leaf and Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson, respectively.

There's also a good chance Crean visited USC transfer Byron Wesley while he was out there, another native of California. Wesley is interested in going to a Midwest school next year, and Indiana is one school pursuing him, according to reports.

Wesley will graduate at the end of the semester and will be eligible to play next season. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Trojans last season.

According to a report by Yahoo! Sports, Baylor, Cincinnati, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh and Providence have also expressed interest in Wesley. Another report also mentioned Michigan.

Indiana has two scholarships remaining after earning a commitment from 7-foot big man Jeremiah April on Friday night.
