According to at least one published report, Eric Gordon has made his college decision once and for all.

The Chicago Tribune reported this morning that the 6-3, 185-pound guard from Indianapolis’ North Central H.S. talked with Illinois Coach Bruce Weber Thursday night and informed he wouldn’t be following through on a verbal commitment he made to the Illini last fall.

Instead, Scout.com’s second-ranked player in the 2007 class has decided to play for Coach Kelvin Sampson’s Hoosiers.

Gordon is expected to be one of at least nine recruits who will be at Assembly Hall tonight for Hoosier Hysteria, the first official practice of the 2006-07 season, which also marks the start of the Kelvin Sampson era in Bloomington.

Gordon would be the fourth member of IU’s 2007 class, joining California big man Eli Holman (who is also expected to be in Bloomington tonight), Jamarcus Ellis and Brandon McGee.
