Indiana University officials confirmed the 6'2", 210-pound Indianapolis native has been admitted to the school and reported to camp Sunday evening along with the rest of the veterans.

The former All-State safety from Warren Central H.S. spent his freshman season at Florida, where he totaled seven tackles and one interception in the Gators' first three games before breaking a bone in his right leg. He announced his intentions to transfer in the spring, and took on-line courses this summer to improve his academic standing so he could be admitted to the university.

With that hurdle cleared, Finch is expected to sit out the 2008 season due to NCAA transfer rules and then have three years of eligibility remaining.

The ninth-ranked safety in the 2007 recruiting class, Finch was considered the No. 1 in-state prospect in the state according to Scout.com in '07. At Indiana he's reunited with former high school teammates Chris Adkins, Jeff Boyd and Andrew McDonald, core members of the Warren Central team that won four consecutive state titles from 2003-06.
