Updates on how the seasons have been going for each member of IU's top-10 2009 recruiting class. In addition, we have the latest on many other future targets, including D'Vauntes Smith-Rivers, Cody Zeller, Marquis Teague, and many more...

Bobby Capobianco, 6-8, 230, Loveland (Ohio) H.S. – Capobianco continues to recuperate from off-season surgery to repair a broken pinkie toe, and told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he could miss the first three games of the season. Loveland opens the season Dec. 5 against Fairfield, while their fourth game – which is when Capobianco said he'll definitely be back – is Dec. 16 at Kings H.S. Loveland H.S. is the seventh-ranked team in the Ohio Division I preseason poll.

Maurice Creek, 6-4, 185, Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy – Creek has helped lead Coach Kevin Keatts' team to a perfect 8-0 start, including a recent 76-74 win over Bridgton Academy. Creek leads the team in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game. He's had a couple of big outings, including a 24-point effort in a 101-80 win over Louisburg College and a 25-point outing against Patrick Henry Community College. Creek plays on a loaded Hargrave Military team, evidenced by the fact that six of its players signed national letters of intent during the early signing period.

Derek Elston, 6-8, 210, Tipton (Ind.) H.S. – As promised, Elston was back on the court for Tipton's season opener following off-season knee surgery and he had a 16-point, 13-rebound effort in an 83-44 win over Tri-Central. The third-ranked team in the state in Class 2A, Tipton has big expectations after last season's 21-3 season. Tipton's imposing frontline features not only Elston, but 7'0" junior Ethan Jacobs, 6'8" Luke Overdorf and 6'5" Kyle Coleman. Tipton plays at Clinton Central tonight.

Jordan Hulls, 6-0, 170, Bloomington (Ind.) South H.S. – Hulls opened his season with a 14-point, six, rebound 10-assist effort in Bloomington South's 96-64 win over Seymour in the Panthers' season opener. Hulls was 6-12 from the field and 2-of-6 from behind the 3-point arc for South, which is ranked No. 4 in the state and No. 19 nationally according to USA Today. South was led in scoring by standout 2011 recruit Spencer Turner, who made four 3-pointers on his way to 19 points.

Bawa Muniru, 6-11, 250, Durham (N.C.) Mt. Zion Academy – Muniru is playing with Mt. Zion this season, although we've been unable to track down his statistics thus far.

Christian Watford, 6-7, 215, Birmingham (Ala.) Shades Valley H.S. – Watford hit a game-winning 3-pointer from the top of the key with one second left to lift Shades Valley to a 47-45 win over Vestavia Hills H.S. Saturday night. Watford's shot capped a 21-point effort for the IU-bound small forward, who has helped Shades Valley get off to a 4-0 start. Earlier, Watford had a 22-point, 12-rebound effort in a 50-29 win over Jeff Davis H.S. Nov. 26, and he's averaging 21.3 points per game.
