Bloomington – On Sunday, Charleviox (Mich.) offensive lineman Bill Ivan said he didn't have a date when he wanted to make a college decision.

But on Monday, the 6'5", 255-pound offensive tackle decided Indiana was where he wanted to call home beginning next fall. Ivan verbally committed to Indiana today, becoming the 12th member of Indiana's 2012 class and the second pledge today along with fellow Michigan standout Ishmael Thomas.

One of the biggest reasons for Ivan's early decision appears to be the fact there wasn't a lot of room left on the offensive line, and waiting any longer could have meant a scholarship slot would no longer have been available.

"It's a tough decision because I know Indiana has two linemen commits and only four slots," Ivan told Scout.com's Allen Trieu over the weekend. "So I have to decide whether to jump on this now or wait."

Ultimately he decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. He joins Springfield (Ill.) guard Marlandez Harris and Appleton (Wis.) guard Cody Evers as the offensive linemen in the class.

Ivan was also offered by Central Michigan, and he'd been waiting to hear if Iowa or Michigan were going to offer.
