Kates Picked for JUCO All-America Game

Bloomington – Indiana commit Andre Kates has been selected to compete in the Junior College All-America game in Chandler, Ariz., next month.

The 6’0”, 193-pound cornerback will represent Team USA against Team California in the second-annual Triumphant Sports Junior College All-Star game at Chandler (Ariz.) H.S. on Dec. 12. Approximately 85 of the nation’s top junior college players will be on hand for the event, which kicks off at 1:15 p.m.

The first player to commit to Indiana in its 2010 class, Kates has been starring at ASA Institute of Business in Brooklyn, N.Y. this season. In addition to anchoring ASA’s defensive backfield, Kates has also starred as a kick returner as well for a team that has won three straight to improve to 4-2.
