Indiana upended by late 3 in 69-66 loss

There may come a day when the Hoosiers win a game against an opponent like George Mason because of a physical advantage. Sunday, though, the Patriots proved that those days remain in the future. The Hoosiers' opponents outmuscled and outscored them 42-20 in the paint on their way to a 69-66 win. A 3-pter by Cam Long in the final seconds provided the death blow.   Full Story

Two programs that last met in the 1989 NCAA tournament reunite in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Sunday morning. Both Indiana and George Mason have seen a lot happen since that 99-85 Hoosier victory and now the tables appear to be turned. Indiana took an early lead Friday night in Puerto Rico, but the Boston University Terriers kept nipping at their heels. The senior-laden opposition just kept sticking around, despite shooting just 21 percent from the field in the opening half and just 33 percent for the game.
